FSLT Week 4 Day 3 Looking Forward to the Virtual Conference
by George Roberts - Tuesday, 4 June 2013, 09:25 PM

Really looking forward to the virtual conference!

Blog announcement is here.

The virtual conference is for everyone. Not only assessed participants. We want to encourage as many participants as can to upload an “exhibit” to the conference. See some examples and guidance here.

Peer feedback sessions are optional but recommended, rewarding and fun.

Assessed participants remember, this is the activity that gets "marked".

So what do you do?

Read the activity brief.

Prepare your Virtual Conference exhibit. You can use Powerpoint (about 10 slides), make a video (3-5 minutes), make a poster, draw a picture and photograph it. Be creative. Keep it simple. Your audience should be able to take it all in in about 5-7 minutes.

Upload it to the conference site. And, to your own blog if you have one. Put a link into the conference discussion forum. Please try to do this by Wednesday 12 June. Earlier if you join a peer feedback session.

Follow the practical Instructions. You will find examples on this page of:

Join a live synchronous peer feedback group.

Guidance on the peer feedback process is on this page (scroll down).

The peer feedback groups are limited to five people each. If the available times do not suit you please let us know and we will try to add more. To participate in a live synchronous peer feedback group you must have uploaded an exhibit to the conference.

If you have not uploaded an exhibit you can still discuss the presentations that have been uploaded on the conference discussion forum.

Enjoy the FSLT13 conference!

If you have any questions please ask on the conference forum.
